Hardline unsafe product notifications decreased by 8% in the USA and 35% in the EU, compared with the previous quarter.
The USA saw 36 product recalls. The top categories were chemical products, with the main risk being poisoning, and furniture, the main risk being tip over. There were 185 products notified as unsafe in the EU.
The top categories for notifications were toys, food contact materials, and DIY, tools and hardware. The main risks were chemical and injuries.
