Notifications of unsafe products for the cosmetic, personal care and household sector rose by 47% in the EU, compared to Q4, 2019. In the US, recalls for this category held steady.
The EU saw 44 unsafe product notifications, 25 of which were skin whitening products, with chemical risks being the most prevalent.
In the USA, there were seven unsafe products. Three of these were make-up products, and the most common risk was chemical.
