The European Union (EU) has issued a revision to its CLP Regulation. This amendment entered into force in July 2025.
In June 2025, the EU issued Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/1222 to revise Regulation (EU) No 1272/2008 on classification, labeling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP Regulation, current consolidated version to February 2025).
Key changes to Table 3, ‘List of harmonized classification and labeling of hazardous substances’, in Part 3 of Annex VI of the CLP Regulation include:
This amendment will apply from February 1, 2027. However, substances and mixtures may be classified, labeled and packaged in accordance with this amendment before this date.
