China ‘s new national product standard, GB/T 41174-2021(Professional sportswear – Track and field garment), becomes effective on July 1, 2022.
The Standardization Administration of China has issued a national standard for professional sportswear (track and field garments), GB/T 41174-2021, which becomes effective July 1, 2022, and was included in China’s No. 17 announcement of approved national standards in 2021.
While this document is applicable to track and field garments for professional sports, other non-track and field garments can refer to this document. However, it is not applicable to garments for infants aged 36 months and less.
Product quality includes internal quality and appearance quality.
For internal quality, the test items include fiber content, formaldehyde content, pH value, odor, decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes, residual metal needle, color fastness to washing, color fastness to rubbing, color fastness to perspiration, color fastness to water, color fastness to light, color fastness to light of textiles wetted with artificial perspiration (alkaline), color fastness to transfer in joints, dimensional change after washing, pilling, elongation property, stretch and recover property, seam force of trouser back crotch seam, ball bursting, seam slippage, tear strength, appearance after washing, absorption and quick-drying property.
Track and field garments for children shall comply with the requirements in GB 31701.
