Supporting Global Brands at Saudi Lifestyle Week 2025

PCA NewslettersDecember 11, 2025

We were pleased to participate in the first edition of the Saudi Lifestyle Week (SLW), held from October 6 to 8, 2025, in Riyadh. This multi-sector trade platform brought together fashion, sportswear and design brands with Saudi Arabia’s dynamic, multichannel retail market, making it one of the largest and most influential textile and lifestyle exhibitions of the year.

SLW 2025 featured over 100 exhibitors and welcomed strong delegations from Europe, with notable representation from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany and the UK. The event showcased a curated mix of established European labels and emerging designers, reinforcing its role as a high-quality B2B platform connecting international lifestyle brands with Saudi retailers.

Market opportunities

For companies targeting the Saudi market, product conformity is essential. Under the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) and its SALEEM/SABER program, regulated products, including textiles, footwear, leather goods and sporting goods, must comply with the relevant technical regulations and obtain product and shipment certificates of conformity (CoC) before customs clearance.

Saudi Arabia’s retail sector is experiencing rapid growth, driven by economic diversification and rising consumer demand. Independent estimates valued the Kingdom’s retail market at USD 282 billion in 2024, with projections reaching USD 403 billion by 2033.

Events like SLW enable international brands to connect directly with retailers, distributors and compliance experts, providing both commercial and regulatory insights to support successful market entry.

SGS at SLW 2025

We participated in SLW 2025 to guide brands through the product conformity assessment (PCA) process, helping them understand how early integration of testing and certification can accelerate their route from showroom to shelf. By embedding compliance at the earliest stages, brands can minimize delays, safeguard their reputation and scale efficiently across Saudi Arabia’s dynamic retail landscape.

SLW proved to be a valuable, high-quality meeting point, attracting strong interest from established and emerging European brands seeking to explore or expand distribution in Saudi Arabia. Our presence highlighted the critical role of robust product conformity strategies for companies aiming to achieve sustainable growth and long-term success in the Kingdom’s vibrant lifestyle and retail sectors.
