When accessing the markets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) requires specified electronic devices to hold an IECEE recognition certificate prior to the issuing of a certificate of conformity (CoC). The SASO will only issue an IECEE recognition certificate after an accredited laboratory and certification body (CB) has released a test report and certificate showing conformity with relevant international safety standards. Depending on the preferences of the applicant, the SASO IECEE recognition certificate can be valid for either one or three years.
