SGS is proud to announce that we have maintained the Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA) Superintendent approval for 48 individual country affiliates following the implementation of the new GAFTA Standard Audit requirements.

GAFTA Approved Register of Superintendents was updated as the deadline for compliance with the new requirements passed on May 31, 2021. As confirmed members of the updated register, we have evidenced full compliance with GAFTA's leading standards for supervision, sampling and weighing for the Agri Commodities industry.

To raise the standard for inspection activities, only members with a valid certificate of conformance to the GAFTA Standard for Supervision, Sampling and Check Weighing or a valid certificate of accreditation to the latest version of ISO 17020 were accepted to remain on the GAFTA Approved Register of Superintendents effective May 31, 2021.

The Superintendent approval allows us to keep providing services in 48 countries under the GAFTA Contract Terms & Conditions and covers our management and operational procedures when inspecting agricultural commodities.

Our customers can have complete confidence that we continue to follow the latest standards and may instantly identify our status with our Approved Superintendent Register logo.
