The EU has made three changes to its list of the standards for presumption of conformity with the Toy Safety Directive. The latest list of toy safety standards became effective on May 31, 2021.
On May 31, 2021, the European Union (EU) published Implementation Decision (EU) 2021/867 with the latest list of toy safety standards for presumption of conformity with Directive 2009/48/EC (Toy Safety Directive, TSD – consolidated version to May 2021). This latest set of standards contain, inter alia, several important provisions:
The latest Implementing Decision repeals Implementing Decision (EU) 2019/1728.
This latest set of toy safety standards became effective on May 31, 2021 – the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
