SGS Acquires Environmental Testing Corporation (ETC), USA

SGS is pleased to announce the acquisition of Environmental Testing Corporation (ETC). ETC is a complete vehicle and engine emission testing laboratory based in Aurora, Colorado.

ETC provides comprehensive research, development and certification testing services to domestic and foreign vehicle and engine manufacturers as well as regulatory agencies and the research community including the US EPA the Coordinating Research Council (CRC) and National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Typical clients rely on ETC to provide a suite of services in Vehicle Laboratory, Engine Laboratory, Mileage Accumulation testing and Test Process software development.

Founded in 1979 and and privately owned, ETC has over 30 years experience with a long standing reputation for excellence for automotive emissions and testing. The ETC lab is located over 5,000 feet above sea level making it one of few labs to provide high-altitude and extreme ambient temperature testing ranging from -20 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. ETC is A2LA accredited, ISO certified; Quality (ISO 17025) and Environmental (ISO14000) and its laboratory equipment complies with EPA and CARB requirements. It employs 35 staff and generated 2010 revenues in excess of US$ 10 million.
