This marks the first-ever approval of this mark in the automotive cellular communication domain, establishing a new benchmark for in-vehicle connectivity performance.
The SGS Premium Performance Mark is based on our proprietary and industry-leading testing protocol for automotive 5G cockpit communication (PT-26-000-105640), developed by leveraging our extensive capabilities in cellular communication, radio frequency (RF) testing and real-world network and core network validation.
The mark evaluates product performance across multiple technical dimensions using a structured, rigorous and real-world-aligned methodology. It focuses on end-to-end connectivity performance rather than isolated metrics, such as peak speed, offering a more holistic and realistic assessment of in-vehicle communication capabilities.
The evaluation framework defines four key dimensions of in-vehicle connectivity performance:
- Connection stability
- Bandwidth capacity
- Weak-signal recovery capability
- Performance under network congestion for key services
These dimensions are designed to reflect connectivity performance under diverse and demanding real-world scenarios, including highways, suburban and remote areas, as well as weak coverage environments such as underground parking facilities. They also account for high-intensity usage conditions, such as multi-user concurrency and high-bandwidth applications, where reliable, stable and efficient connectivity is critical.
Through a clearly defined testing protocol and quantifiable results, we translate connectivity performance into measurable indicators. This provides a consistent and structured approach to evaluating operational experience and enables a more transparent comparison of performance across different systems and platforms.
We conducted an independent, comprehensive and highly rigorous evaluation of the Li Auto L9 Livis 5G high-performance intelligent cockpit platform. The results show that the platform exceeded standard thresholds across all four dimensions, achieving SGS Premium Performance Mark status.
