At the turn of the year, SGS became one of the first certification bodies to gain ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) accreditation for ISO 22716 cosmetics good manufacturing practices (GMP) certification.

ISO 22716 provides GMP best practices for the cosmetics industry, describing the basic principles for applying GMP in finished cosmetics manufacturing plants.
The standard covers personnel, technology and administrative management that will affect product quality in related organizations and practices. It does not apply to research and development activities and distribution of finished products.
