SGS is proud to announce that our San Diego, US lab is the first facility to receive approval as a CTIA Authorized Test Lab, with full capability for the CTIA Certification Test Plan for Wireless Device Over-the-Air Performance, Millimeter Wave Test Methodology.
This new approval, in addition to the existing OTA capabilities and approval for all the major US wireless operators, offers manufacturers across the world a true one-stop-shop. Our San Diego facility is now the only OTA lab in the world approved for radiated performance testing for both 5G FR1 and FR2.
The test plan is not yet mandatory, but clients already supporting FR2 or planning to support it, can prepare their devices to be ready for certification once this happens.
As one of the first CTIA Certification Authorized Test Labs in the US, since 2005, SGS offers a state-of-the-art testing facility and services for all mobile technologies, including 5G FR1 (SA, NSA, EN-DC), 5G FR2 (mmWave), 4G, A-GPS and 3G, as well as CWG Wi-Fi.
With our extensive global network of wireless labs, we also offer OTA radiated performance testing for several other global wireless operators and certification organizations around the world, such as PTCRB and GCF.
SGS’s competence centers for wireless communication testing can conduct OTA certification testing and have several different antenna chambers available around the world with 24/7 support. The extended range of OTA services available include:
- Total radiated power (TRP) and total isotropic sensitivity (TIS) for
- 5G FR1 (SA, NSA including EN-DC), carrier aggregation (5G/4G)
- LTE aGPS, CAT M1, NB-IoT, 3G/2G, Wi-Fi, Sigfox
- Antenna radiation pattern (2D/3D)
- Antenna efficiency and absolute gain
- Voltage standing wave ration (VSWR) and antenna matching
- Multiple input and multiple output (MIMO)
