SGS is proud to announce that we have won the award for Best Supplier for People and Planet for our Energy Efficiency in Buildings program at Chiesi’s prestigious Group Vendor Day.
Our EEB program targets our major source of CO2 emissions and aims to improve SGS’s building portfolio management. Almost 700 SGS buildings are part of the program and therefore are committed to implementing energy efficiency measures, which will reduce CO2 emissions by more than 2,000 tons per year.
About Chiesi’s Group Vendor Day
Launched in 2019, Chiesi’s Annual Group Vendor Day brings together the company’s main suppliers and partners to acknowledge and implement best practices in sustainability across the group’s value chain.
Sustainability projects developed throughout the year are shared, so they can be used to actively contribute to Chiesi’s sustainability strategy and its long term goal of increasing the sustainability of its entire R&D ecosystem. The event provides Chiesi with an opportunity to showcase its strategic projects and bestow its Supplier Awards on suppliers that have demonstrated continued excellence and achieved outstanding results throughout the year.
About the award
The Best Supplier for People and Planet award is given to companies that have proven to be leaders and innovators when it comes to sustainability issues. Award winners have particularly effective sustainability practices that fall in line with the Group’s principles. To determine the recipient of the award, companies’ social, environmental, and ethical management models are assessed, using ratings provided by the Ecovadis platform.
