On March 24th, 2021, SGS signed a contract with the Ministry of Industry, Trade, Green and Digital Economy (MICEVN) of the Kingdom of Morocco for the implementation of the Conformity Assessment Program on industrial products, starting May 1, 2021.

Under the contract, SGS acting on behalf of MICEVN, will perform conformity assessment services for exporters of industrial products to the Kingdom of Morocco to verify that those products meet relevant national standards and/or technical regulations. Only products that meet the Moroccan standards and/or technical regulations will be issued a certificate of conformity at the country of origin. The exporter will release the certificate of conformity to his importer or its local agent. Upon arrival of the goods, the certificate of conformity issued by SGS at the country of origin will be authenticated by SGS Morocco at the Ministry portal.
