SGS Digital Trust Services GmbH has received special approval from the BSI (Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik), the German Federal Office for Information Security as a competent body for carrying out IT Security Evaluations based on the Common Criteria (CC) and Common Methodology for Information Technology Security Evaluations (CEM). SGS’s Digital Trust Services employees are now entitled to evaluate and test security of products against special security criteria up to the highest evaluation assurance level. This confirms products’ resistance against attackers with high attack potential. Products to be evaluated relate to the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, healthcare, smart energy, smart buildings, telecommunication, mobile devices or automotive. In addition to product and software evaluations, SGS also provides Digital Trust Services related to systems, networks, cloud services and organizations.
Following the inauguration of the SGS CyberLab Graz, Austria just five months ago, this key milestone clearly shows SGS’s commitment and leadership in Cybersecurity in the Testing Inspection and Certification (TIC) world.
