SGS Receives EcoVadis Gold Rating for the Fourth Consecutive Year

January 24, 2019

SGS is pleased to announce that it has received a Gold rating from EcoVadis.

This is the fourth consecutive year that the company has been identified as Gold regarding its approach to corporate social responsibility (CSR) management.

SGS is in the top 5% performers evaluated by EcoVadis and received the highest score within the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry (with a result of 80 points out of 100 compared to the general average score of 42.2 points).

“This gold rating is a recognition of our company’s long-standing commitment to sustainability and to creating value to society through its direct operations, services and supply chain,” says Daniel Rüfenacht, Group Vice President Corporate Communications and Sustainability.

The EcoVadis rating methodology assesses how well a company has integrated the principles of CSR into their business. SGS was assessed by independent experts based on its approach to sustainability management regarding four themes: environment, labor practices & human rights, fair business practices, and sustainable procurement.
