SGS is pleased to announce the acquisition of Sertec S.r.l., one of the largest Health & Safety (H&S) service providers in Italy. Sertec is primarily focused on H&S statutory services and training in chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and mechanical industries. These services include food analysis, calibration and consultancy services in environmental and goods manufacturing practice (GMP) for the chemicals and pharmaceutical industries.
Founded in 1995, based in Livorno and privately owned, Sertec runs a state of the art laboratory, staffed by a young team of 85 highly specialized professionals and generated nearly Euro 7 mio in revenue in 2010. This new acquisition gives SGS access into the highly regulated H&S Italian market, strengthens SGS Industrial Services and expands its service offerings in Oil, Gas and Chemicals, as well as in Life Science Services.
