Overview

In May 2023, the EU Commission announced a plan to ban bisphenol A (BPA) and other bisphenols in food contact materials, engaging stakeholders in the process. A final draft of the regulation was published on June 12, 2024, with industry stakeholders informed that adoption is scheduled for November 2024, with enforcement beginning at the end of the year.
