SGS is pleased to announce the acquisition of Integrated Paper Services, Inc. (IPS Testing), USA.
Headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin, IPS Testing is an independent testing laboratory offering physical and analytical testing for paper, pulp, nonwoven fabrics, medical supplies and packaging in both the consumer and supplier environments.
Founded in 1988 and privately owned, IPS Testing employs 52 staff and is expected to generate 2016 revenues in excess of USD 5 million.
"This transaction strengthens our position in the paper and non woven segments and complements the acquisition of SGS Courtray in France in the hygiene market," said Frankie Ng, CEO of SGS. "As well as increasing our footprint in the United States, which is a strategically important market, it also gives us the opportunity to deploy these services globally."
