SGS is pleased to announce the acquisition of the electrical maintenance and conditioning monitoring business of Testing and Commissioning Services (Australia) Pty Ltd, based in Perth, Western Australia.
TACS is the leading Western Australian provider of transformer insulating oil analytical services as well as transformer maintenance, thermographic inspection and electrical engineering services. The business has 16 employees and revenues in 2007 in excess of A$ 2.5 million.
This acquisition enhances the service that SGS currently provides to the power generation and supply industry and further enhances capabilities to service the minerals, oil and gas and industrial sectors that are relying on both public and private electricity networks to underpin their growth.
