SGS Indonesia successfully conducted a seminar titled “Regulatory Refreshment: Introduction to and Compliance Mechanisms for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances” on 17 June 2026 at Jakarta, bringing together participants to deepen their understanding of evolving regulatory requirements related to hazardous substances and product compliance.
The seminar was officially opened by Dian Mardiana, SGS CTS Inspection Services & Administration Manager in Indonesia, who welcomed participants and highlighted the importance of staying informed of regulatory developments to support product compliance and market access. The technical session was delivered by Toto Waluyadi, SGS Laboratory Manager in Indonesia, who shared valuable insights into key regulatory topics, including RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) requirements, updates on REACH Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) and Statement of Compliance (SOC), as well as emerging developments surrounding PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances).
Throughout the programmed, dedicated Q&A sessions encouraged active participation and enabled attendees to engage directly with the speaker, discuss practical compliance challenges, and gain clarification on regulatory expectations relevant to their industries.
