China releases updated product standard for brassieres – FZ/T 73012-2025.

The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has issued an updated industry standard for brassieres – FZ/T 73012-2025. Included in Announcement No. 41 of approved industry standards in 2025, it replaces the previous version, FZ/T 73012-2017, and will become effective on January 1, 2028.

Scope

This document applies to knitted brassiere products.

Quality requirements

These include internal quality and appearance requirements.

The requirements of internal quality shall comply with Table 3 of FZ/T 73012-2025. The test items include fiber content, formaldehyde content, pH value, odor, decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amines, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to washing with soap or soap and soda, colorfastness to rubbing, colorfastness to perspiration and appearance quality after washing.

Appearance requirements should be referred to in clause 5.3 of FZ/T 73012-2025.
