Trace Elements

Trace elements are those found at the 10pmm -10,000ppm level in rocks, ores, soils etc. SGS has the proven geochemical expertise and equipment to provide you with reliable trace element analysis. Our multielement packages provide comprehensive suites of trace element data. We have a variety of different digestion and fusion techniques that can then be followed by ICP-AES or ICP-MS analysis. Trace elements can also be analyzed using pressed pellet-XRF.

SGS provides trace element analysis in the following areas:

• Multielement ICP-AES and ICP-MS packages that contain 32 - 55 elements, depending on the package
• XRF packages containing 6 – 13 elements
• Radioactive & rare earth element (REE) packages
• Iron & nickel
• Hydride elements
