In parallel with the CFSI rebrand to RMI, the Conflict Free Smelter Program (CFSP) name has also changed to the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP).

Validity of New Mexican Standard for Textile Care Labelling

The new Mexican Standard NMX-A-3758-INNTEX-2014 “Textile – Code of Generation of Caring Labels with the Use of Symbols” has been published and became effective on the October 15, 2017. The new standard will supersede NMX-A-240-INNTEX-2009.
Revised China Product Standard – GB/T 2662-2017 <Clothes with Fillings>

The National Technical Committee on Garments of the Standardization Administration of China has recently revised the national standard GB/T 2662-2008 and it is now GB/T 2662-2017
. The revised standard will be implemented on December 1, 2017.
San Francisco Becomes First City in US to Restrict Flame Retardants

San Francisco has recently approved measures to restrict flame retardants in upholstered furniture, reupholstered furniture and juvenile products. The new restrictions will be implemented in two phases, starting January 1, 2019.
