SGS offers a comprehensive range of testing services to ensure your juvenile products comply with applicable international and national standards and regulations. Many standards for juvenile products are under development or being updated and should be published within the next five years. SGS has in-depth expertise in juvenile products and childcare articles and can work with your staff and suppliers to set up a testing program adapted to your needs.

Our global network of laboraties can conduct tests against juvenile products regulations and standards (including the French decree for child care articles, British laws for wheeled child conveyances and flammability) and against specific or internal protocols. SGS has its main testing competence centers in Asia (Shanghai, Guangzhou), in Europe (France, United Kingdom) and in the United States.

Our pre-shipment testing (PST) checks that there has been no deviation in production and that the products actually comply with toy standards and client’s specifications before shipment. It is the last stage for product control before juvenile products are displayed on store shelves and bought by parents.
