Discover your EUDR-related strengths and weaknesses with gap analysis from SGS.

Organizations placing relevant Annex I products on the European Union (EU) market, or exporting them from the EU, must understand their EUDR role, product scope and due diligence obligations. These apply to products containing, made from or linked to cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya or wood, with exact obligations depending on whether you act as an operator, downstream operator or trader.

Our EUDR gap analysis provides an independent review of your due diligence system, procedures, records and controls, assessed against criteria aligned with Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 and the latest Commission Guidance and FAQ. We help you identify strengths, gaps and improvement priorities.

FAQs

The EUDR applies to organizations placing relevant Annex I products on the EU market or exporting them from the EU. This includes products containing, made from or linked to cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber, soya or wood, where they fall within the CN/HS codes listed in Annex I of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115.

Your exact obligations depend on your role as operator, downstream operator or trader, and on whether you are placing products on the EU market for the first time, exporting from the EU, or handling products already covered by upstream due diligence.

Our assessment may cover, where applicable:

  • Product scope and Annex I classification
  • Role and obligation mapping
  • Supplier and product-flow mapping
  • Article 9 information collection
  • Geolocation and production-origin evidence
