As part of their process to enhance their health, safety and environment management system, King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre – Jeddah (KFSH&RC) had requested SGS to offer a series of trainings on ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
The first training occurred in early September 2023.
KFSH&RC’s goal is to serve quality, specialized health care with a patient-centered approach. Their specializations include stem cell transplant, dedicated oncology, heart and neuroscience center, and a fetal diagnosis and therapy program. They also offer medical education and conduct medical research on cancer, genetics and immunology.
SGS has recently started their partnership with KFSH&RC to help them meet international standards and to continuously improve their services. In 2023, the Hospital has been certified by SGS against ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
ISO 14001 is an international standard that specifies environmental management system (EMS) requirements that augment an organizations’ environmental sustainability. ISO 45001 focuses on improving employee health and safety.
The training delivered by SGS for KFSH&RC in September covered internal auditing skills for the hospital’s staff to learn how to conduct effective internal audits of their Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
Internal auditing is an important component of any management system as it aims to help an organization to monitor their performance and identify ways for improvement.
The team from King Faisal Hospital was engaged and active during the training. SGS is happy to help our client enhance their knowledge in international standards.
