Connecting AI law with hands-on governance practice
As AI regulation evolves rapidly, Kozminski's "AI Law" postgraduate program set out to connect academic reflection on AI law with hands-on practice in AI governance, assurance and international standards – integrating our expertise directly into the curriculum.
Three blocks of expert-led training
As part of the "AI Law" postgraduate program, we deliver three dedicated blocks of training, combining theory with practical workshops:
- The ISO/IEC normative approach to artificial intelligence management
- Implementation of an Artificial Intelligence Management System in accordance with ISO/IEC 42001
- Internal auditor training for AI management systems
The classes are delivered by our experts, drawing on direct experience in AI certification, audits and advisory engagements.

From classroom training to accredited personal certification
The training equips participants with practical, standards-aligned competencies in AI governance, implementation and internal auditing. To date, we have delivered training to more than 200 participants as part of the "AI Law" postgraduate studies program, which continues to attract strong interest. The 6th edition is scheduled to start in October 2026, reinforcing the program's position at the intersection of AI, law and governance.
Beyond the course training itself, a number of participants have gone on to achieve accredited personnel certifications built on this foundation, including the ISO/IEC 42001 Internal Auditor certificate and ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Auditor certification, awarded by SGS following separate examination and assessment.

My journey with ISO/IEC 42001 started during the AI Law postgraduate studies, where I completed the internal auditor training. Building on that foundation, I decided to take the next step and achieve the Lead Auditor certification. Achieving ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Auditor certification marked an important step in strengthening my competencies in AI governance and auditing. The SGS training stood out for its highly practical approach, based on real-life AI implementations and case studies, which helped me develop competencies in planning and conducting audits, managing audit programmes, and preparing clear, actionable findings and reports.
