Certification for Archaeological Research

On July 1, 2016, the Dutch heritage law entered into force, replacing The Monuments Act and its permits. The Dutch heritage law states that organizations involved in archaeological research require statutory certification, according to the archeology schedule or assessment directive BRL SIKB 4000. We can certify your archeological research according to these requirements.

Why choose certification for archaeological research from SGS?

You can contact us to:

  • Acquire the appropriate certification for your archeological research, in accordance with BRL SIKB 4000
  • Confirm that your research meets the high quality archaeological requirements for research of agricultural and aquatic sediment
  • Gain permission for land and underwater excavations (moving or removing cultural heritage underwater is an excavation and now requires certification)
