SGS is pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) 2026, taking place April 14-16 in Hamburg, Germany. We invite you to visit Booth 5E65 and connect with our aviation testing experts, Michael Magee, Jillian Guillem, Simon Mo and Greg Gutsko to learn how SGS supports safer and compliant aircraft interiors through comprehensive fire and flammability testing services.

AIX is recognized as the leading global event for airlines and the aircraft interiors supply chain. The show brings together cabin designers, OEMs, airlines and suppliers to explore the newest products, discover emerging trends and source solutions that elevate the cabin and passenger experience. It is the industry’s premier hub for networking, building partnerships and identifying innovations that shape the future of in-flight comfort, safety and performance.

At the Expo, our Farmingdale, NY lab will showcase our full range of fire and flammability testing services designed specifically for aviation materials and components. We are an Airbus-approved laboratory specializing in seven qualified test standards, with additional methods currently being added to our scope of accreditation. We are proud to be the only independent third party laboratory accredited to perform three critical airbus methods: Cargo Liner, Insulation Burnthrough, and Insulation Flame propagation testing. Through our strong and collaborative partnership with Airbus, we remain committed to technical excellence, responsive service, and continued growth in support of the aerospace industry.

With extensive knowledge of governmental, federal and state fire testing codes, our fire and flammability safety laboratory ensures your products are evaluated accurately and meet all required specifications. Our team is well-versed in FAA test methods and procedures, and our in-house Designated Engineering Representative (DER) streamlines the FAA 8110-3 approval process.

We will highlight our testing capabilities for a wide range of aviation interior applications, including:

  • Floor covering systems
  • Furniture seating
  • Panels and vertical composite panels
  • Cargo liners
  • Insulation foams
  • Display components

Visit us at AIX to discover how SGS can support your commitment to delivering safe, compliant and high-performing aircraft interiors.
