Europe: the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988

Europe’s General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) is a key piece of legislation for businesses aiming to place their products on the European market. Originally mandated as the General Product Safety Directive in 2001, the new Regulation was published in May 2023 and the GPSR (EU) 2023/988 clarifies the requirements for non-food products, aiming to update and modernize quality benchmarks.
