Product Recall Trends in Softlines: Q3 2021

In the USA, total Softlines recalls dropped by 38% (down to 5), compared to the previous quarter. Products in the Clothing and Textiles category were those most commonly notified, with four items of children’s clothing recalled for their risk of burns.

Across the EU, 47 products were recalled in Q3 – a drop of 56% on Q2. Fashion jewelry products were recalled for chemical risks and children’s clothing products for risks of strangulation and injury.
