SGS Academy UAE introduces a one-day training course designed to equip professionals with a clear understanding of ISO 45003:2021 and the practical skills needed to implement and monitor psychological health and safety practices that support workforce well-being and organizational performance.
Why Psychological Health & Safety Is a Business Priority in 2026 and Beyond
Psychosocial risks including work-related stress, burnout, harrassment and poor work-life balance are now recognized as among the most significant occupational health challenges globally. The World Health Organization estimates that depression and anxiety cost the global economy over US$1 trillion annually in lost productivity.
For businesses in high-pressure industries such as construction, oil and gas, healthcare and financial services this represents a critical and largely unaddressed risk.
ISO 45003:2021 fills this gap. It provides guidance on managing psychological health and safety within an ISO 45001 OH&S Management System, helping organizations identify psychosocial hazards, assess their impact on worker well-being, and implement proportionate controls. For organizations already certified to ISO 45001:2018, ISO 45003 represents a natural and strategically valuable extension.
