EU Updates Standards for Presumption of Conformity with Toy Safety Directive

The European Union (EU) has made two updates to its list of standards for demonstrating compliance with toy safety requirements.

On December 16, 2025, the EU issued Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/2519 (the Decision) to revise Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/740 (SafeGuardS 45/23) by updating two standards for the presumption of conformity with Directive 2009/48/EC on toy safety (current consolidated version to December 2022).

Key changes in the Decision are summarized in Table 1.
