Fashion industry has been regarded as a section with high environmental impacts. More and more brands, retailers, and suppliers are joining the transformation to the circular and low-carbon fashion, for getting more competitive as well as for facing pressure from governments.
When fashion industry is implementing decarbonization roadmaps, there are challenges on the carbon management and reduction on supply chain. Presenter Evelyn Ma will explore trends and strategies for carbon reduction and share cases on our decarbonization solutions for the whole supply chain, including inter alia, target setting, training and quantification.
Fashion industry is also a highly concerned sector by EU, with EU textile strategy focusing on more durable textile products to reduce their Environmental footprint. In parallel of Europe, France wants to work on specific topics and suggest a voluntary environmental labelling for textile products in 2024.
Presenter Valérie Cimetière will discuss the latest updates on PEFCR regarding durability and the new requirements on environmental labelling of textile products in France. She will present the European Project and the French framework which will both lead to the textile environmental labelling in the coming years.
