Brookcourt realized that the best way to ensure its AI was deployed responsibly was to achieve certification to ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for AI management systems (AIMS). This would reduce privacy and data protection risks, minimize bias, increase stakeholder trust and ensure compliance with international standards.
Recognizing our experience as a leading global provider of certification services and our digital trust expertise, Brookcourt partnered with us for the certification process. The journey was led by Xcina Consulting, a company within Shearwater’s consulting division.
The certification process, which took nine months, involved interpreting the ISO/IEC 42001 standard, building an AIMS and undergoing multiple internal reviews. We provided an independent audit, highlighting Brookcourt’s strengths, and ultimately, we awarded Brookhouse ANAB-accredited ISO/IEC 42001 certification.
With this certification, Brookcourt was positioned as a leader in responsible AI deployment. The company now plans to expand AI use across all departments and continuously enhance its AIMS through regular review.
