November 23, 2023

SGS is proud to be a Business Member of Anaphylaxis UK and will be speaking at The Anaphylaxis UK 2023 Business Symposium, a gathering for professionals at the forefront of the food industry who are keen to enhance their understanding of allergen management.

Dr. Emma Ridley, General Manager of our allergen center of excellence, based in Hebden Bridge, will be presenting An insight into allergen testing laboratories and the challenges of food allergen testing.

Allergen testing laboratories play a crucial role in ensuring food safety by detecting allergenic substances that may pose a risk to individuals with food allergies from food products using advanced techniques. Allergen testing laboratories face several challenges in accurately detecting allergenic substances in food products. Dr. Ridley will be giving a behind the scenes perspective of how her teams combination of effective planning, appropriate training and efficient processes help them to navigate these challenges.
