The National Radio Research Agency (RRA) of Korea has issued Announcement No. 2025-50 on July 11, 2025, introducing updates to certain Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) test methods.

In a separate announcement, the RRA launched a public consultation on June 25, 2025, for a proposed revision to the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) Measurement Standards. The consultation period will remain open until August 25, 2025. Stakeholders and industry experts are encouraged to review the proposed changes and submit feedback via the RRA’s official channels.
Following the completion of the frequency auction for the 1500 MHz band (Band 75/n75) on 30 June 2025, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) of Thailand has implemented a new requirement for test reports related to this band.
Effective from 3 July 2025, all products supporting LTE Band 75 and/or 5G NR Band n75 must submit an RF test report as part of the NBTC Class B type approval process.

On 23 May 2025, the Directorate General of Resources and Equipment of Post and Information Technology (DJID) under the Ministry of Communication and Digital (KOMDIGI) issued Decree No. 204, titled:
"Technical Standards for Telecommunications Equipment and/or Broadband Wireless Access Telecommunications Equipment Based on the 2020 International Mobile Communication Technology Standards."
This regulation covers the technical standards for base stations and user terminal equipment in the BWA 5G n50 frequency band (1432-1517 MHz-TDD) and will officially come into effect from the date of its publication.
On 26 June 2025, the Telecommunications Engineering Centre (TEC) of India issued a notice announcing that the deadline for accepting ILAC test reports from non-border sharing countries has been extended until 31 December 2025 for specific product categories.
The test reports must have been issued within two years prior to their submission on the MTCTE portal.

On 25 June 2025, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) issued an important notice regarding LCAC (Low-Capacity Air Conditioners), extending the validity of the existing mandatory star rating label until 31 March 2026. As a result, the revised sample label validity period is now 1 July 2023 to 31 March 2026. Manufacturers who wish to continue with BEE-approved registered models beyond 30 June 2025 must submit the previous approval letter along with the revised sample label no later than 31 July 2025.
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has issued new guidelines under Standard IS 16333 (Part 3): 2022, Amendment No. 1. As per the amendment, all mobile phones must be accompanied by a user manual, either in paper or digital format. If provided digitally, clear instructions on how to access the information must be indicated on the product packaging. The amendment will come into effect on 19 September 2025. Mobile phone applicants must ensure the availability of the user manual in the required format before the deadline and must promptly notify BIS of any changes to the format.

On 17 June 2025, the National Communications Authority of Argentina (ENACOM) issued Resolution 928/2025, allocating the 414–415 MHz and 424–425 MHz frequency bands for private use under the Radio Link Centralized System (SRCEP).
The Dominican Telecommunications Institute (INDOTEL) has launched a comprehensive reform of General Telecommunications Law No. 153-98, which was enacted 27 years ago. The reform aims to modernize the regulatory framework in line with the evolving digital ecosystem, emerging market dynamics, and the growing demand for diverse digital services. The draft bill will be submitted to Congress in the next legislative session and will include an extensive public consultation process to ensure both technical soundness and social legitimacy.
On June 28, 2025, the Senate of Mexico debated the proposed Law on Telecommunications and Broadcasting. The bill provides for the dissolution of the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFETEL) and the transfer of its functions to the newly created Digital Transformation and Telecommunications Agency (ATDT), along with its decentralized administrative body, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission. The Commission will operate with technical, operational, and managerial independence, and will act impartially in issuing resolutions. The next step is for the bill to be discussed and approved by the Chamber of Deputies.
On June 16, 2025, Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) launched a public consultation on the Operational Procedure for ANATEL’s Administrative Treatment in SISCOMEX. The consultation outlines proposed rules governing coordination between ANATEL and Brazilian customs for the importation of telecommunications devices. Once the consultation concludes, an official Act will be issued to regulate the importation of approved products for use and/or commercialization, devices for personal use, product samples for conformity assessment, and equipment intended for demonstration purposes. The consultation will remain open for public comment until August 26, 2025.
Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) published a press release on June 23, 2025, announcing the suspension of sales of over R$1.06 million worth of unapproved telecommunications products, including 3D printers equipped with wireless cards. A subsequent press release, issued on July 9, 2025, reported that ANATEL had identified 20,000 items lacking regulatory approval or accompanied by falsified documentation during a search and seizure operation. The seized products included cell phone chargers, wireless cameras, wireless joysticks, wireless speakers, and power banks. ANATEL reminded both consumers and manufacturers that all wireless devices must be approved before being sold in Brazil.
On June 10, 2025, the GEMS Regulator (Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards) released a new registration form on the Energy Rating website for incandescent lamps that comply with the 2024 GEMS standards. The updated requirements apply to both new registrations and renewals, covering tungsten filament, carbon filament, and halogen lamps. Models registered under the 2016 standards may be re-registered upon expiry in accordance with the 2024 standards. Immediate action is required only if a model is listed in Schedule 1 of the 2024 determination.
