A2LA has granted accreditation (Certificate #7473.01) to SGS Fimko testing laboratories in Helsinki and Espoo. The accreditation applies to the testing of electronic medical devices. When a company receives A2LA accreditation, it means that its laboratory operations or testing services meet internationally accepted standards, such as ISO/IEC 17025 for testing and calibration laboratories or ISO/IEC 17065 for certification organizations.

Based on the A2LA accreditation granted, we are now also applying for ASCA accreditation from the FDA.
A2LA, or the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation, is an independent, non-profit organization that provides accreditation services to laboratories, inspection bodies, and certification organizations around the world. Many large customers and authorities require their service providers to be accredited. A2LA accreditation can open doors to new markets and contracts. A2LA is part of international cooperation networks (e.g. ILAC), which means that it is recognized globally – not just in the United States. The accreditation process helps a company improve internal processes, documentation and quality assurance. In addition, accredited results are often accepted without further inspections, saving time and money.
