SafeGuardSToys and Juvenile ProductsNovember 25, 2025

SG 173/25

Moldova has updated its list of standards for demonstrating compliance with national toy safety regulations.

In June 2025, Moldova’s Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization issued Order No. 79/2025 (versions in Monitorul Oficial (art. 484) or on the Ministry of Justice website), approving the list of Moldovan standards that adopt harmonized European standards for presumption of conformity with the nation’s Technical Regulation on toy safety (Decision No 808/2015, as last amended by Decision No 77/2025).

Key highlights of Order No. 79/2025 include:

  • Adopting of Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/740 from the European Union (EU) on harmonized toy standards supporting the toy safety directive (SafeGuardS 45/23)
  • Repeal of Ministry of Economy Order No. 92/2022, which previously approved the list of Moldovan standards that adopt harmonized European standards for toys (SafeGuardS 125/22)
  • Update of SM EN 71-13+A1:2022 and EN 71-13:2021+A1:2022 for olfactory board games, cosmetic kits and gustative games (see Table 1, item 9 below)
