Premium Partnership with the AFA and AFISC

October 24, 2025

We are proud to announce our Premium Partnership with the Australian Furniture Association (AFA) and Australian Furnishing Industry Stewardship Council (AFISC). Through this partnership, we can support businesses in navigating regulatory requirements and enhancing market readiness through our trusted solutions.

Supporting competitive and sustainable growth in the Australian furnishing industry

Australia’s furniture and home furnishing market is a dynamic and growing sector, valued at AUD 14 billion in 2024 and projected to reach AUD 21.74 billion by 2034 (Claight Corporation, 2024).

The AFA and AFISC serve as key hubs for Australia's furnishing industry, engaging with stakeholders across the supply chain to support industry development. Through collaboration with government and participation in international consultation, the associations contribute to positioning Australia as a source of high-quality, sustainable furnishing products and services, particularly within the Australian region.

The associations drive member growth, competitiveness, innovation and export readiness through selected services in standards and compliance, testing, certification, training, advanced manufacturing, sustainability and strategic advocacy.

Global solutions with local expertise

As a premium partner of the AFA and AFISC, we support the association members with global expertise and trusted solutions to ensure business compliance. Through our partnership, association members can gain access to current insights on growing and managing their individual furniture businesses, including exclusive rates for our agreed certification, verification, advisory and training services across Asia.

Understanding and complying with Australian regulations is essential. While mandatory standards under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) mainly apply to products for children such as bunk beds, bean bags and cots, non-juvenile products can still face recalls due to safety issues. We help manufacturers meet domestic and international standards to reduce total business risk related to supplying products and services in the Australian market.

As part of our partnership, we will also participate in future furniture events hosted by the AFA and AFISC, further strengthening industry collaboration and support.
