SGS Donates Lab Coats to Kalgoorlie-Boulder High School Students

February 22, 2021
Hazard Spill

At SGS, we are committed to supporting our local communities. Kalgoorlie-Boulder High school is located in Regional Western Australia. Their science program focuses on developing scientific literacy amongst students, providing them the ability to evaluate claims and make informed decisions about the world around them and develop a level of skepticism to question information provided to them.

In order to support their learning, we recently donated 50 lab coats to provide protective equipment for their experiments, with some of our team attending onsite to encourage the students to have a love of chemistry and science subjects as well as provide a glimpse into some of the exciting future careers available in the STEM field.

Managing director, Yvonne Dickson: "At SGS we believe it’s important to support young people in understanding the exciting, important and diverse career opportunities to which STEM subjects can lead, and our proud to support our local communities in this endeavour.

Article was originally published in the Kalgoorlie Miner but was re-written for publishing on SGS.
