SGS Notting Hill Delivers Fully Accredited Pesticide, Herbicide and Fungicide Analysis for Water

January 01, 0001

Due to increasing regulatory pressure for lower limits of reporting (LORs), many sites are experiencing growing demand for pesticide, herbicide and fungicide analysis, particularly for potable water, groundwater and wastewater samples. At SGS Australia, we are responding to this demand through expanded, fully accredited analytical capabilities at our Notting Hill laboratory.

We have recently received NATA accreditation for our MA-1569 Pesticides LC-MS method. As one of our flagship analytical suites, this method can determine up to 69 distinct pesticide, herbicide and fungicide compounds in a single analysis. Minimal sample preparation and low parts-per-billion reporting limits mean that analytical range and sensitivity are achieved without compromising turnaround time (TAT).

This method complements our existing accredited GC-MS techniques, providing confidence across a diverse and comprehensive range of pesticide compounds. Our approaches enable multi-residue pesticide, herbicide and fungicide analysis in just one or two runs per sample, reducing costs, sampling requirements and TAT.

To deliver the broadest suites of analysis, we can readily extend our repertoire of analytes to meet specific client requirements. We can often perform multiple analyses from the same sample bottle, simplifying sampling processes. Our methods are carefully developed with flexibility and robustness built in from the outset.

Our pesticide analysis capabilities cover more than 240 compounds and include:

• MA-1569 Pesticides & Herbicides by LC-MS-MS
• MA-8270 Semivolatile Compounds by GC-MS-MS
• MA-1421 Glyphosate & Polar Pesticides by LC-MS-MS
• MA-1585 Isothiazolinone Biocides by LC-MS-MS
• MA-1478 Dithiocarbamates by GC-MS
• MA-1495 Paraquat & Diquat by GC-MS
