Performance on Managing Energy and Climate Change
- Our energy consumption (non-transport fuels, vehicle fuels and electricity) in 2015 increased by 4.6% against 2014. The growth of revenue for the year was 3.6% on a constant currency basi
- Our Green Book indicates electricity spend has risen by 6.1%, due to an increase in electricity consumption of 6.3% and higher costs in some affiliates
- Thanks to our carbon neutrality policy (see Carbon Neutrality) our absolute CO2 emissions have decreased by 5.6% against 2014 to 199,629 tonnes, with greenhouse gas intensity as a proportion of revenue reducing 8.9% (to 34.95 tonnes per CHF million) and greenhouse gas intensity as a proportion of headcount decreasing 8.3% to 2.32 tonnes per full-time equivalent (FTE). This is against a backdrop of FTEs growing by more than 2.8%, and our revenue growing by over 3.6% in the same period
- During 2015, we placed 85,191 conference calls and 19,956 video calls, that helped us save more than 5,200 flights
