Corruption is defined by Transparency International as “the abuse of entrusted power for personal gain”. The main forms of corruption are bribery, fraud and extortion. Corrupt practices can occur within the private sector when an employee abuses their position for personal gain.
As a service-based company operating in over 1,650 locations globally, it is inevitable that we will face situations which will test our personal and professional standards. We do not engage in bribery or corruption of any form in any of the countries where we operate, nor do we ask intermediaries or contractors to do so on our behalf. Employees and sub-contractors are not permitted to offer anything of value to gain a business advantage. Similarly, employees may not request or accept bribes or other improper advantages and should vehemently resist facilitation payments.
