SGS Services: SGS Hosts Launch of New Green Building Standard in Switzerland
In August 2016, SGS hosted the launch of the new Swiss Sustainable Building Standard (SNBS) in Berne, attended by more than 400 participants.
SNBS 2.0 is a new building certification product for the Swiss market, developed by SGS through its role in the network for sustainable construction in Switzerland (NNBS). The NNBS covers the major companies on the Swiss market, and the new standard – for which SGS has been granted an exclusive license to certify companies – marks a significant milestone in the development of the sustainable building market in Switzerland.
Managing Director of SGS Switzerland Elvira Bieri had the honor of presenting the first SNBS certificate to Credit Suisse Real Estate Fund Green Property for its Twist Again project in Berne. The Twist Again building is recognized for its innovative building architecture, economic efficiency, cost-effectiveness under construction, low operating and maintenance costs, increased user comfort and ecological optimization. The building also boasts the best indoor air quality, moderate water consumption and the use of renewable energy.
