SGS Austria Strikes Gold When Relocating Its Head Office
SGS Austria relocated its head office in Vienna to a German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) Gold certified building, bringing improved energy efficiency, high level indoor quality standards and enhanced transport connections for employees.
The DGNB certification system, developed in Germany but applied internationally, uses 50 sustainability criteria covering ecology, economy, technology, process work flows and socio-cultural aspects of sustainability. Quality is assessed over the life cycle of the building. Once these criteria are met, the DGNB awards the DGNB certificate in bronze, silver, gold or platinum.
