How SGS Chile is Encouraging Employees to Do More with Less
In June 2016, SGS Chile became the latest affiliate to launch the Do More with Lëss campaign.
Launching the campaign to coincide with World Environment Day, SGS invited employees at the head office to take a photograph with Lëss the polar bear and to write their name on an orange sticker before placing the sticker on one of the awareness posters on display in the offices.
SGS Chile’s campaign goal was to create a cultural shift through improved employee awareness of the responsible use of energy. The affiliate adapted the generic campaign materials to make it easier for employees to identify where and how they could generate energy savings. Ten posters were designed and installed in meeting rooms, bathrooms, cafeterias, and printer and recycling areas. The campaign ran in 14 locations across the country and involved approximately 500 employees. Alongside the posters, SGS Chile used different communications channels – from SGS TV to newsletters and a monthly wall journal – to keep employees informed of the campaign’s progress.
