SGS Chile launched the “Spot the Orange Dot” campaign by encouraging employees to make individual commitments to reduce their environmental footprint.

Spot the Orange Dot Campaign

The twelve employees who achieved their environmental goals were invited to a breakfast where they were asked to describe the energy efficiency actions they had implemented in the workplace. These activities focused mainly on: 

  • Water efficiency
  • Waste recycling
  • Air conditioning control 
  • Switching off unnecessary lights

Over breakfast, employees watched the sustainability e-learning module, which features Lëss the bear (SGS’s sustainability mascot) explaining how the Earth’s vital resources are being depleted and how SGS is helping to reduce the impact on the environment.

Following this, Yohanina Salvo, in charge of the campaign, made a speech about these concerns, approaching them from different perspectives, and invited employees to become sustainability ambassadors – not just in the workplace but also in their daily lives. The session concluded with a debate covering topics such as energy efficiency, waste removal and the future environmental challenges facing us all.
