SGS Canada Employees Grow Produce for Local Food Bank
SGS Canada’s employees in the Cochrane, Ontario office forged a partnership with Detour Mines and the town of Cochrane to develop a garden in which to grow produce for the local food bank.
The initiative stemmed from the SGS 2014 employee involvement survey, Catalyst, which indicated that employees were keen to be involved in sustainability action. Through their volunteering efforts, employees are learning new skills around crop growing while meeting local people while distributing food in the neighborhood.
